學(xué)生1:I eat breakfast every morning.
 
教師:Excellent! Today, we will learn how to use the past tense. Do you remember what the past tense is used for?
 
學(xué)生2:It’s used to talk about something that happened in the past.
 
教師:Correct. Now, let’s look at some examples of the past tense. (Writes on the board) 'I ate breakfast this morning.’ And 'I went to the park yesterday.’ Do you notice anything different about these sentences compared to our present tense sentence?
 
學(xué)生3:The verb is different.
 
教師:Yes, that’s right. In the past tense, we use a specific form of the verb, which is usually different from the present tense form.
