Have you ever dreamed about sending a letter to yourself or your friends in the future? While express mail represents efficiency and speed and is prevalent in China, there is another type of mail emerging as a new business: "future mail."
你是否想過想過給未來的自己或者朋友寄一封信？以高速與高效著稱的特快專遞在中國盛行的同時，另一種郵件服務——“慢遞”，作為一種新型產(chǎn)業(yè)出現(xiàn)在人們視野中。
"The letter should be delivered next `Mother`s Day` and not a day earlier!" Lin Xiaofan, a senior high school student in Hefei, instructs one of the companies offering the service.
來自合肥的一名高中生林曉芬（音譯）這樣對一個“慢遞”公司說：“這封信要準時在下個母親節(jié)當天寄到。”
Lin Xiaofan wrote the letter to her mother in advance to express her love to her mother for next Mother’s Day.
這封信是林曉芬提前寫給媽媽的，為了在下一個母親節(jié)的時候送上她對母親的愛。
"Offering this service makes people slow down and let them understand the meaning of `time` in another way," said Zheng Zhimin, manager at a "future mail" company in Hefei. Zheng thinks "future mail" letters are "reminders of and catalysts for affection, friendship and love."
“‘慢遞’能使人們放慢腳步，換一種方式思考‘時間’。”來自合肥一家“慢遞”公司的鄭志敏（音譯）說到。鄭認為，“慢遞”是親情，友情，愛情的提醒書和催化劑。
Feng Xiao, a youth who feels pressure despite of some achievement in her career, decided to write a letter to herself on her 25th birthday and have it delivered five years later on her 30th birthday through a "future mail".
馮曉（音譯），一位事業(yè)有成卻又倍感壓力的年輕人，決定在她25歲的生日上通過“慢遞”為30歲的自己寄上一封信件。
"I expressed my thoughts about my current life and my expectations for the future to encourage myself to face up to the challenges of my life with courage," Feng said.
“我寄出自己當前的生活感悟和對將來的期望，希望激勵自己勇敢迎接生活的挑戰(zhàn)。”馮說道。
While "future mail" is gaining popularity, some are concerned about what happens if the postal address of the recipient changes or if the company goes broke before letters are delivered.
雖然“慢遞”越來越受到人們的追捧，但是人們對它仍有些擔憂。如果收信人的郵件地址變動，或者公司在信件寄出之前就倒閉會怎么樣?
Zheng said customers are required to complete an acceptance form and make an assessment so they can be compensated if their letters or goods are lost or damaged.
鄭說到，“顧客需要填一份簽收表，對信件價值進行評估，如果他們的信件或者郵寄的物品丟失或損壞，他們就會得到補償。”
"I won`t be too disappointed even if I cannot receive my letters, because for me what is more important are the feelings when I write the letter," said Zhu Min, who works for a foreign company in Shanghai.
“即使我真的沒有收到我的信，我也不會太失望。因為對我來說，更重要的是我寫信時的感受。”在上海一家外企工作的朱敏（音譯）說道。
Most of the business`s customers are college students and young white-collar workers. Psychologists said young Chinese might have a new vent for their pent-up feelings through the service.
“慢遞”行業(yè)的大多數(shù)顧客都是大學生或者年輕白領(lǐng)。心理學專家認為對于中國的年青人來說，這種“慢遞”服務將成為一種發(fā)泄壓抑情感的新渠道。
"Most people put their hopes and wishes in the letter so they can experience the connection between the past and the present while they receive the letter. It can help people reunderstand the meaning of `time`," said Wang Kaiyu, a sociologist in Anhui Province.
“大多數(shù)人把他們的希望和祝福寫在信中，這樣他們在將來收到信的時候，會體會到過去和現(xiàn)在的聯(lián)系。這會使他們重新理解‘時間’的含義。”安徽省的一位社會學者王開宇（音譯）說道。
